Bucharest Forum on Energy

Ministers, senior officials from Romania and abroad, CEOs and decision makers from private companies  joined the Bucharest Business Forum, "Navigating Changing Currents New Energy Policies and Business Trends in the Black Sea - Caspian Region", organized by Aspen Institute Romania on May 23-24 2013, in Bucharest.

As a mix of conference and round table format conversations, Bucharest Forum Energy's mission was to serve as an influential debate and reflection platform for Romanian business sector and political decision-makers in the energy sector and to create a trans-regional strategy (linking the Caspian, Adriatic and Black Seas) and policy review platform in the energy field.


The debates brought together relevant Romanian, European and regional actors (both from the public and the private sector) from the Balkans and the countries bordering the Black Sea and Caspian Sea. Among them, energy experts, national and European regulators, government representatives, relevant corporation and businesses  like Constantin Niţă, Minister Delegate for Energy, Varujan Vosganian, Minister of Economy, Julian Popov, Minister of Environment and Water of Bulgaria, Daniel Stein, Senior Advisor on Energy Resources, U.S. Department of State, Tudor Constantinescu, Principal Advisor, DG Energy, EC; Nicolae Havrileţ, President, ANRE; Luca D'Agnese, CEO, Enel Romania; Edward Chow, Senior Fellow, CSIS, etc.
