Children debated with public authorities on violence in schools, at home and online

Children made recommendations to representatives of the public authorities and put forward their own solutions on how to prevent and fight violence at home, in schools and online, within an event organised by Save the Children Romania (SCR), on June 19, 2012.

The event marked the closure of the 12th edition of Children's Forum organised by the Save the Children, which brought together 70 children from different counties in Romania.

Liviu Marian Pop, Minister of Education, attended the event, together with top representatives of other Romanian institutions: MP Cristina-Ancuța Pocora, President of the Subcommittee for the Child Protection at the Romanian Parliament; Elena Tudor, head of the General Directorate for Child Protection; Anemari Mărcuşanu, Counselor at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; Cristina Ecaterina Coruţ, Deputy Prefect of Bucharest.

This year's edition of the Children's Forum was entitled „Child protection between law and reality - measures of prevention and elimination of violence" and was organised by Save the Children with the support of OMA VISION, as part of the „Asculta-i sufletul" („Listen to the child's soul") campaign.  Partners of the event were the Chamber of Deputies and The Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport.
