Editorial on the Danish EU presidency

Denmark's role at the EU presidency is rather to mediate among the European countries in their effort to identify solutions to the crisis shaking Europe, at both economic and values level, and it may be in a better position to do it, than a new-member state would have been, argues Oana Marinescu in an editorial published on January 12, on the Contributors platform (www.contributors.ro).

"Denmark can act as a mediator between the 27 EU states and promote true dialogue in which everyone has a voice. A dialogue that is not just about short-term solutions for the economy that are tailored to current political and economic interests, but about the European project as a whole, including Europe's values", reads the article, which was also quoted in the European press review edited on January 13 by www.eurotopics.net, covering relevant stories published by the media in 28 countries (EU + Swiss)
