Enescu Competition 2014: Romania Matters!

Following the success of the communication campaign developed and executed for the George Enescu Festival in 2013, OMA Vision created and implemented the communication for the George Enescu International Competition (1-27 September 2014, Bucharest, Romania).

 


240 young artists from 36 countries on 6 continents joined the Enescu Competition in 40 concerts, out of which the opening gala, the semi-finals and the finals were streamed live to www.festivalenescu.ro for the first time.
Through its message: “International reputation in classical music.

 

Romania matters”, our campaign illustrated Enescu Competition’s significant contribution not only to young artists’ lives, by enhancing their international reputation, but also to the public at large, by bringing it the joy of music, and to Enescu’s cultural legacy – promoting his values and works.

 

 

The Competition had extensive domestic and international media coverage and a consolidated engagement on social media, with dedicated campaigns aiming to reveal what lies beyond performances, in artists’ hearts. The graphic design of the campaign was provided by Eroii de Joi.

 


As a result of its 2014 success, George Enescu International Competition will be organized henceforth as a stand-alone event, alternating with the Festival. The upcoming edition will take place between September 3 and 25, 2016.
