Getting ready for the George Enescu Festival: the Musical Sundays

The "Musical Sundays of the Enescu Festival" are due to start on February 29, hosted by the Humanitas Cismigiu Bookshop, in a move to prepare the public for the magic of the event. Every month, till the start of the Festival, on September 1st,  artists, writers, opinion leaders, music lovers and the public will have the opportunity to meet and discuss issues of interest, related to the Enescu Festival, the importance of cultural values and the legacy of composer George Enescu - the only Romanian composer to have entered the universal patrimony.

This series of debates is part of OMA Vision's strategy for the Enescu Festival, aiming to increase participation and awareness at the level of both elites and general public, through creative debates on cultural identity and the power of the Festival as a cultural brand for Romania. Historian Neagu Djuvara, conductor Tiberiu Soare, writer Horia Roman Patapievici are to participate at out events, as Musical Sundays' guests.

The debates will also benefit of a partnership with The Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation and will promote young talented musicians.
