Trends in Online: The Media Research Day

Gathering keynote speakers from the Romanian media industry, foreign specialists in the field and over 250 participants, the second edition of The Media Research Day, organized by BRAT, took place on 26 March 2014.


In the presence of the most important stakeholders on the Romanian market and of top Romanian televisions and press organizations, The Media Research Day focused on Trends in Online: Audiences, Business Models, Content. During the breaktrough event, BRAT made public the figures of Internet consumption in Romania in the last 10 years. Elias Gagas, Managing Director, Tailwind EMEA debated about the Programatic Revolution in online, while Gilles Guillou, chief Revenue Officer, La Place Media pleaded for a partnership of the editors to face American players such as Facebook and Google. Jennifer Beck, Global Director, Kantar Media and former Marketing Director for the prestigious „The Observer” spoke about new ways of measuring in online – how to measure audiences across platforms.


Oana Marinescu moderated the debate on the Value of Money in Online, gathering three pioneers in the online field: Orlando Nicoară – General Director Mediafax Group, Dragoș Stanca - Managing Partner Think Digital and Cristian Pantazi – Editor in Chief


OMA Vision has created the communication strategy for the Biroul Roman de Audit Transmedia (BRAT), the organization of the media industry in Romania that measures audiences for print, online and out-door, as well as the investments in advertising campaigns.


The campaign focuses on the added-value of the BRAT services for developing both the media industry as a whole and specific media products.
