Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy (the “Policy”) explains how OMA Vision Projects SRL, headquartered in Aleea Circului nr.2, bl.2, ap.20, sector 2,  Bucharest, Romania, code 021104 (hereinafter referred to as “OMA Vision”, “we”, “our” or “us”), uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you use our website www.omavision.ro and its subdomains (the “Site”). The Policy explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control how we use them.

  1. What are cookies?

We use the word “cookies” to refer to the cookie modules and similar technologies via which information can be automatically collected. The word “cookie” refers to technologies based on the principle of storing and accessing information concerning the device (e.g. PC, laptop, tablet, mobile phone) used by a visitor of a website. The cookie files are the text files that comprise small amounts of information consisting of letters and numbers, which will be stored on a user’s device.

Cookies are installed at the request issued by a webserver to a browser (e.g.: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) and are entirely “passive” (they do not include software, malware, or spyware and cannot access the information on the user’s hard drive).

Cookies contain information connecting a user of a website to a webserver. If a user accesses that website again, the webserver will read the previously stored information and will recognize that user upon the following visit.

Cookies are mainly used to help the user navigate the website efficiently, to carry out certain functions, and to allow the website to remember the user’s actions or preferences over time (and then to use that information for various purposes such as analyses, statistics, or online advertising).

  1. Who can place cookies through the Site

The cookies set by the Site owner (OMA Vision, in our case) are named “first-party” cookies. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are “third-party” type of cookies.

Cookies are used to provide users of the Site with a better navigation experience and with services adjusted to the needs and interest of each specific user, namely for:

  • improving the use of this Site, including by identifying any errors occurring during the visit/use thereof by the users;
  • supplying OMA Vision, as the owner, with anonymous statistics as regards how this Site is used.

Based on the feedback sent through the cookies in connection with how this Site is used, OMA Vision can take measures for this Site to be more efficient and more accessible for users.

The specific types of first-party and third-party cookies used via our Site and the purposes they achieve are described below.

  1. What types of cookies are used through this Site

We use two categories of Cookies: (1) necessary Cookies for technical purposes, in the absence of which the functionality of the website would be low, and (2) optional Cookies.

  • Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our Site and for using certain features, such as accessing secured areas and identifying any access on our website that potentially poses a security risk. These cookies do not store personal data.

Moreover, we use these cookies to remember your options as regards cookie setting on our website. You can block or delete these types of cookies, by changing the browser settings, as described in the “How can I control the cookies?” section.

  • Optional first-party and third-party cookies

The optional cookies are listed in the table in the final part of this document.

  1. How can you control the cookies?

The Cookies strictly necessary for technical purposes ensure the functionality of the Site. You can configure or change the settings of your browser to accept or reject the strictly necessary cookies. If you choose to reject these strictly necessary cookies on the Site, you are still able to use the Site, but your access to certain Site functionalities and areas may be restricted. Since each browser is different in terms of how you can reject the cookies from the browser control settings, you should visit the Help menu of your browser for more information.

We will not use optional cookies without your prior consent. When you access the Site for the first time, a banner will appear on the Site, which will ask for your consent for the optional cookies to be used. If you consent, we will set a cookie on your device and the banner will stay minimized in the bottom right part of the screen and you can change the settings any time you wish.

The setting is also valid for third parties’ cookie modules and they can be turned off from the same general setting of optional cookies if you do not wish them to be active during your navigation sessions on our website.

How often do we update this Cookie Policy?

We will regularly update this Policy so that it reflects, for instance, the changes to the cookies that we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Therefore, please read this Policy regularly to be up to date with our use of cookies and related technologies.

The last update of this Cookie Policy took place on February 1, 2021.

  1. Additional details and contact

If you have any queries as regards our use of the cookies or other technologies, please send an e-mail to office[at]omavision.ro.
