OMA Vision’s campaign for George Enescu Festival wins Gold at Romanian PR Award

OMA Vision's strategy and public affairs communication campaign for Artexim, organizer of the prestigious George Enescu International Festival, won the Golden Award for Communication in the Public Field at the Romanian PR Award gala, on 20th of November 2013. The campaign also won the Silver Award at the "Culture, Arts, Fashion, Sports" category.

 

The campaign's aim was to position the Festival as Romania's cultural brand, the most important international cultural event organized by Romania, supported by governmental and private stakeholders. "The Enescu Festival puts Romania on the world cultural map"; "A unique cultural mix, promoting Romania's best composer George Enescu and Romanian artists, along with international famous composers and artists"; "Creativity is real magic. The Festival magically transforms Romania through creativity and values, just as George Enescu transformed the music" -  these were the key messages conveyed.

 

For the first time in the Festival's history the public had access to live broadcasts of the concerts at cinema (Grand Cinema Digiplex) and to video livestreaming on the newly designed site of Festival. The application for smartphones  was further developed.  

 

Based on the values Romanian composer George Enescu believed in - creativity, generosity and contribution - an original concept was launched: Creative Bucharest. It was designed to make organisations and private persons participate to the magic of the Festival and develop a true cultural olympiad that took place in the same time as the Festival. Participants: the Ministry of Justice, NGOs, media outlets, artists, patissery producer etc.

 

OMA Vision will also be creating and implementing the communication campaign for the George Enescu Festival's 2015 edition and for the Enescu Contest in 2014.
