Branding and Strategic Communication as a Soul-Searching Journey

ARCEN is an NGO that works towards building the self-esteem of Bucharest and its people through culture and community. The organization has opened and maintains relevant dialogues on vital factors of a quality urban life such as capitalization, revitalization, and activation through culture; memory and heritage; urban education; community interconnection; civic involvement; legislation and intervention.

OMA Vision’s task was to create awareness and a national profile for this young organization by providing consulting services for branding, development, and communication strategy, as well as media relations and social media, to assist the Association in reaching its objectives and in attracting new sponsors & partners. OMA Vision was also asked to create strategic and creative concepts for dedicated communication events and campaigns and to increase the visibility and reputation of ARCEN to its key target audiences.

We created a new brand for both the organization and its District 40 project. In our ongoing collaboration with ARCEN and District 40, we create and contribute to several events that enhance the community spirit and to projects aimed to raise the level of earthquake awareness and preparedness at home and in the community.


The experience of working with OMA Vision was a life lesson for our entire team. We were impressed not only by their level of expertise and involvement in the ARCEN projects – something we’ve never met in this manner in our previous collaborations but also by the originality of the tools and solutions offered. OMA Vision inspired us to rejuvenate our projects and activities in a whole new light and with a clarity that we haven’t experienced as an organization before. The working meetings, discussions, and proposed solutions led both us, as people, and ARCEN, as an organization, to a truthful soul-searching exercise.

With OMA Vision, we understood the importance of values to any organization’s mission and how they can become the pillars of further development. ARCEN's relationship with OMA Vision was very much an act of seduction. Seduction in the way one, ARCEN, is taken off the random road by the seducer, OMA Vision , and set right on the path that is quintessentially his.
